The activities of the center (and of the affiliated centers) are supervised by Lama Tsultrim Guelek, born in 1955 in Grenoble, France. Lama Tsultrim began to study Dharma in 1983 as a disciple of the Venerables Kalu Rinpoche and Bokar Rinpoche. In 1987 he was ordained by Kalu Rinpoche and became a novice monk (getsul). After a traditional 3 year, 3 month, 3 day retreat between 1988 and 1992, he became a fully ordained monk (gelong). With the permission and the blessing of Bokar Rinpoche he has led meditation groups since 1995. He currently lives at the Bodhicharya France center in Lusse and teaches there and in several cities once a month.
His 25 years of experience as a monk and many years of teaching allow him to be deeply familiar with the Dharma as it can be practiced in the West. Moreover, he accompanies spiritually many Dharma practitioneers and thus has a sharp knowledge of the obstacles westener practitioneers may face, the means to go beyond them and the pitfalls to avoid. Finally, Lama Tsultrim teaches the Dharma directly in French and frequently illustrates his teachings with examples from our daily life. This makes his teachings lively and widely accessible.
